WHY SCRATCH CARDS NEED TO BE REPLACED.

1. Scratch cards are not economically friendly:
It costs money to make and print those cards yet after scratching, we throw them away. Can you imagine the number of scratch cards only you have thrown away multiplied by 20 million Ghanaians?

2. Scratch cards are not environmentally friendly:
We cut down trees to make all the paper that is used to make the cards. That is a lot of trees cut down.

In addition, we litter the streets and the general environment when we throw away all those scratch cards from over 20 million Ghanaians.


3. Scratch cards may not be friendly to health:
The debate is still on-going whether scratch cards cause cancer or not. It has been researched and preliminary results seem to indicate that the material used in covering the numbers on the scratch cards is carcinogenous. Whether it is true or not, isn't it better to be safe than sorry?

CHOOSE or LOSE - [The only constant that is not constant - part_2]

In terms of size and power, a supertanker or a freight train may be awesome. However in terms of adaptability to sudden changes in certain circumstances, how do these mechanical giants fare? For instance, if an obstacle falls across the tracks in front of a freight train, can the train just turn and swerve that obstacle? No! Turning is out of the question. How about the train stopping suddenly? Sudden stops are not much easier. A heavy freight train may take over a mile to stop after the brakes are applied!

Similarly, a supertanker may coast onward for five miles [8 km] after the engines are shut off. Even if the engines are thrown into reverse, the tanker may still plow on for two miles [3 km]! 

The inability of a freight train or a super tanker to respond and safely adapt to such sudden changes can be compared to many humans and many human organizations. Humans are always resisting change and many human organization have been set up like a freight train on tracks of no turning.

There are many factors that lead to resisting change. It may be pride that makes one refuse change despite glaring and blaring evidence to act otherwise. It may also be fear that paralyzes another from acting in accordance with the dictates of change. Ignorance, nonchalance and procrastination among others are all possible reasons that make some fail to respond to change.

A relationship that goes sour and ends in a break up is change that we must accept. The typewriter, the Magnetic tape, the analog TV and many other technologies that become obsolete are all changes that we must accept. Yes change happens and when it happens make sure it happens to you too.

Because of refusing to respond to change, many companies and corporations have gone bankrupt. Even governments that refused to respond to change have been toppled. Make no mistake, change, although not constant, is a constant that cannot be ignored; although being an option, is a mandatory option for all who want to make any significant progress in life. When change beckons, either we choose to change voluntarily or we will be made to change compulsorily.

Always remember this, when it comes to change there are only two options available: CHOOSE or LOSE!

Change by itself is neither good nor bad. It is a phenomenon that is difficult to classify as positive or negative since it is very much affected by a dizzying array of circumstances and variables. The writer therefore cannot be dogmatic that we must of necessity respond in a particular way all the time when change comes. There may be times that circumstances may occasion someone to resist change and others that may influence another to accept change. No matter the decision taken however, there is one thing that can help to successfully responding to change - always hold some entity constant. Why is that beneficial and how can this be done? The only constant that is not constant - part 1

Mariam-Webster's Dictionary defines a constant as:

constant (noun):
something that stays the same 
something that does not change      
a quantity or number whose value does not change

and it defines change as:

change (noun):
The frequent usually sudden passing from one condition to another.

From the foregoing, it is obvious that a constant does not change but change itself is a constant. Here is a paradox of historical proportions but that is not surprising  because life is full of such apparent paradoxes.  It is like the paradox of fighting a war for peace.

Change however is a constant that must be respected and given its rightful due. When change knocks on the door, it MUST be opened. When change calls, it MUST be answered. When change comes, there MUST be change. Period.

Whenever anyone introduces you to an opportunity to make a difference in your life, it represents an opportunity to make a change. The usual response to change is resistance. How many of us have been introduced to one network marketing opportunity or the other and all we have done is to resist it and said "No!" to it? Especially is this issue of change relative to Network marketing of utmost importance because that industry is a crouching tiger - you are safer riding on its back than standing in its way.

Think however about this: Change is how we got here in the first place because that is what causes us to transit from babyhood to childhood to teenhood and then to adulthood. Change is why we are still here because we keep changing and making adjustments to continue living; and that is why change is what is needed in order to continue to be and in order to continue to be relevant.

From the foregoing, it seems there are only two ways forward: either you choose to change or you are forced to change. Change is no respecter of persons. Change is like the sun that rises in the East because it has no other choice and sets in the west because that is the only choice it has. When it comes to change, humans have no free will. We must all undergo change whether we like it or not.

If you are reading this, then begin to change your mindset. If you are staying away from the business of network marketing because you are afraid of change, then think again. If you are already in the business but are still not making any progress, then begin to make changes in your attitude towards prospecting and presentations.

Remember this: Change is a constant as sure as the sunrise and the sunset. It will come and it will come to pass. However when it finally passes, will it leave you as a victim or as a victor? Like the sunshine, will it leave you suntanned or sunburned. It all depends on you.
